About Us

The Nut started at Drew University in New Jersey as a weekly satire newsletter with only two freshman writers. It quickly gained a large following from the students on campus and eventually started to gain a following at other schools. We decided to dedicate articles and newsletters to these other schools. Now we bring satire news by students for students to multiple campuses.

We strive to be a platform where students can express their creativity by writing satirical stories about their college. We know college can be stressful so it can be very helpful to take a break from writing that midterm* and read something that will make you laugh.

Our Mission

We want to bring satire news to campuses that don’t already have it and help support the schools that already have established satire newspapers. Then eventually total world domination.
