Students on their way to classes on Tuesday afternoon found themselves stopping in awe at the mismatched snowman being built on the west green. The snowman itself was certainly a feat of ingenuity, being as tall as it was, but what was really fascinating was what it was dressed in.
When asked, the nursing students working on the snowman readily admitted to finding the clothing items in varying places on the green and having collected them over the course of the week.
“I found the scarf last Tuesday”, one senior said, “that’s what gave me the idea to do this.”
Another student claimed that they found two boots (that were not in the same pair) and a hat stuck in a bush. Another found a glove and three socks.
One student sheepishly admitted that they “found a banana in front of Morton the other day. Didn’t think it would be useful for this project though.”
Students who had lost their things were happy to find that they could reclaim their outerwear if it had been placed on the snowman, and most of the items found their owners by the end of the day.
