Kennesaw, GA – Nationwide, people are trying to skate to “Stateside” and paying the price.
After the Gold Medalist, Alyssa Liu, captured the hearts of Americans with her performance at the Winter Olympics, and her alternative style. Typical of Americans, many are trying to recapture that with the assumption they can skate as Ice Rink attendants rise.
From frat boys to alternative art majors, students have donned their rental skates to attempt to recreate Liu’s performances of “MacArthur Park” and “Stateside” on TikTok, showcasing their skills. Unfortunately, college students from Georgia who haven’t skated since they were children are not on the same skill level.
Nut reporters tried to interview the injured and embarrassed failed skaters, but were ignored as students limped past them. Luckily, we managed to come across one student who was too concussed to care. Her response,
“You think Alyssa will see this?” as they wheeled her into the ambulance.
