As Halloween approaches, Drew has begun the season of ghost tours around campus. One such tour traveled through the haunted buildings of Drew University, eventually ending the tour in the Hepburn Arboretum.
The tour guide, dressed in a knock-off costume from Temu of Bowser, led the tour towards the center of the forest. Fog crept in from the grass, and a cold wind sent shivers up their spines. The leaves trembled, and an eerie groan was heard from somewhere in the distance.
They had stumbled upon an abandoned cemetery. The group dispersed, eager to search for clues on the gravestones. “There were hundreds of them,” said a tourist. “It’s a wonder that they’ve gone unnoticed until now.,” said Drew Junior, Kelsey Hawkins.
One large mausoleum read: “Ranger Bear. 1960-1964.” Then a howl came forth from the ground, and the earth quaked as hundreds of Ranger Bears burst out of the soil. “It was horrifying. Then they started dancing,” said one onlooker. The zombie bears began to gyrate in unison, as if they were still performing during freshmen orientation. It was…the Macarena.
