In a developing story out of the the LA Times, Hackers may have leaked every social security number in the United States. Dave Winston, SSN: 756-43-2366, says that he is extremely concerned that his social security will be leaked. “I just don’t know what I’d do if my SSN was made public!,” said Winston.
According to the Nuts Cyber Crime Correspondent, Amy Matthews, Winston’s information, like many others, was found in less than 6 minutes. “It’s entirely possible that they could even find Dave’s ATM pin!, said Matthews, “I mean all it takes is 5-7-2-9 and boom his life is ruined!”
The Social Security Administration sent out a statement apologizing for the leak and encouraging people to be extra cautious of anyone who wants to know any “basic icebreaker questions” which could double as answers to your security questions.
Since the news of the data leak, Winston has been extremely on edge. “With a leak this big, it’s just hard to know who is secretly an identity thief trying to get your information!,” explained Winston. He went on to say that he hasn’t been so scared since he was in Preston Elementary school and his first pet dog, Lucky, went running down the very busy Sarasota Ave, the street he of course grew up on.
