Ralphie VI Charges Elderly Shuffle Board Couple First Week of Retirement

BOULDER, Colo. – CU Boulder’s former live mascot Ralphie has settled into retirement in Florida, but neighbors say the transition hasn’t been smooth.

Witnesses at his retirement community reported the buffalo lost a shuffleboard match Tuesday, then lowered his head and charged two elderly opponents. Local residents described the scene as “chaotic” and “surprisingly fast-paced.”

University officials downplayed concerns. “Frankly, we’re just glad he’s someone else’s liability now,” said HR rep Carla Simmons, polishing a dented conference table.
