With people feeling comfortable relying on their electronic devices and staying up later than ever, students are now more willing, whether consciously or otherwise, to risk being late to class or missing it altogether.
One psychology student, David Tam, has come up with a thoughtful solution: Capital punishment. “Many classes have insisted on mandatory graded attendance, with missing class or turning in assignments late being deemed nearly unacceptable in most, if not all cases, the results have been… mixed. But I think this is the next logical step forward.” – Jessica Coburn, head of the UTWUC3DS (Union of Teachers With Under a Combined 3.0 out of 5 grade on various Different Sites.)
