On Monday, a student was seen outside the Ehinger Center, excavating the field of weeds. He seemed to be lost and disoriented, as if he had been trying to escape for weeks.“They’ve grown out of control,” said one witness who saw the unfortunate student within the foliage. “They reached his neck. I called to him, but he didn’t hear me.”
His professors have let the school administration know that he has still not shown up for class. Meanwhile, his family has hung missing person posters around campus, begging the student body to aid in his recovery.
According to the Drew website, 1 out of 5 students every year will get lost in the weeds. “I never realized how dangerous this campus was. How did he even get a machete?” one student says.
This incident has raised many concerns about campus safety. Many students and parents are urging the Drew administration to hire more gardeners to help prevent any more incidents.
As of now, the Student Weed Association (SWA) is putting together a team to venture into the jungle to find these missing students and bring comfort to the grieving families.
