Junior Students Pitch “Academic Helpers” for Students: Later, Finds out Advisors Exist

Kennesaw, GA. – As midterms begin, KSU junior Anna Way is suggesting a way to help struggling students like her, “Academic helpers.”

Way has been struggling to maintain her grades ever since freshman year. She believes KSU has not provided any help to actually manage the workload its classes give. One night, after downing her fourth Red Bull, she came up with an idea.

Kennesaw State University’s department for advising and helping students.

“I think this could really be amazing for students. Someone to help decide what classes to take or what to do for pathways. Maybe they could just help students try to make better habits,” says Way. “KSU should really look into this.”

She emailed Kennesaw State’s administration about this. Their response?

“Express advising begins Oct 9th to the 24th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.”

Way has not been available to comment since the response.
