Professor Cancels Class to Play OG Fortnite

Ethel Jenkins, A Clemson University English professor has canceled all of her classes on Friday, November 3rd because Fortnite is bringing back the OG map. 84-year-old Professor Jenkins who teaches a class on classical Greek literature sent an email stating that she was “very disappointed to hear” that students were planning to attend class on Friday despite “Peak Fortnite” coming back.

The Nut was unable to reach Jenkins through email or phone call so we hopped on to Discord while she was playing a few games. “I told those students that they can read those old ass books any time they want… Oh shit, I need mats… sorry what was I saying oh yeah… but we are only getting prime Fortnite back for one month!”

The school has told Jenkins that she can not cancel class just to play video games so she hosted class on Zoom and encouraged the students to play Fortnite during class. Any students who squad up with them will get their grade raised by half a letter grade for each “dub they catch” with her.

About half an hour into class Jenkins realized she was killed 3 times by user TigerKingChris69 wearing a renegade raider skin three times. Jenkins suspects that TigerKingChris69 was actually Sophomore Chris Davis. Jenkins threw her controller at the wall and screamed “That’s the third time this renegade raider killed me in three different games.” Although Davis was muted he could be seen laughing. “Are you fucking Zoom sniping me Chris! Don’t fucking lie to me, Chris!” Jenkins continued on this rant for about eight minutes, “Zoom sniping is cheating Chris and I will not stand for that in my class! Clemson has a zero-tolerance cheating policy and I will have you expelled!”

Clemson University has put out a statement apologizing to Jenkins, “We are sorry for making Professor Jenkins hold class when Fortnite was bringing the OG map back. We didn’t think the hype was real but Fortnite is actually peak right now so all classes will be canceled until Fortnite inevitably falls off again.” The university also released a statement about the accusations against Davis. “If Professor Jenkins’ accusations against her student Chris Davis turn out to be true he will be prosecuted and punished with the utmost authority of the University.”

Have fun and remember don’t get caught cheating by Professor Jenkins or you may get banned by Fortnite and the University.
