Unwigged, it was revealed that Hilary Link actually showed up to her own impersonation contest on campus. Except upon arrival, the student body had already fled. These are from eyewitness accounts on the scene.
“Someone started yelling, ‘Link is coming, Link is coming!’ I thought they were gonna come riding in on a horse or something.”
“It was like when security pulls up while you’re smoking, almost pissed my pants.”
“Well, I had to stay since I was the one who made the contest. At first, I didn’t believe it was her, since she had a blonde wig and glasses on. Well, shit, this isn’t a Hannah Montana contest so I told her if she wanted to enter she had to lose the accessories. She didn’t want to .”
“I don’t know the idiot who organized the contest, but why would you grab anyone’s wig? People in Madison don’t get punched in the face enough I guess.”
“I thought she was a student, so I jokingly took her wig. That’s when the joke ended.”
In a statement to the press, Hilary Link said she was going to take away every single Drew student’s grants on account of, “The inappropriateness of the contest.”
“Why should we all have to pay just because he snatched Link’s wig? Also, why was Link even there?”
“I think she was just trying to be included. I mean, it must get lonely at the top, taking away students’ money. Maybe the federal loans can’t keep her warm at night, how tragic.”
“It must suck to know that you can’t win your own look-alike contest even though you were the only one there.”
